Fast-Dry Courts has been the Official Tennis Court Contractor of the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Miami Open.
The Miami Open, which takes place every year at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL, is home to some of the best tennis players on the planet. Fast-Dry courts has built 30 courts every year for the two week tournament including a stadium court, ten tournament courts and all of the practice courts. FDC has also supplied fencing for each of these professional courts. Project materials include more than 700 truckloads of rock, 150 loads of asphalt and over 13,000 gallons of paint. The stadium court is constructed of 10 separate layers with materials including limestone rock, asphalt, fiberglass membrane, vapor barriers, acrylic resurfacer and multiple coats of acrylic paint. A 15-person team from Fast-Dry Courts works alongside ASBA member David LaSota, Big D Paving and APT Laykold to make this happen each year.
The tennis venue has brought 31,000 square feet of improvements to the Hard Rock Stadium grounds including a 3,600-square-foot video display board (the largest video screen of any tennis event), and seats for spectator viewing all nestled within beautifully landscaped courtyards, fountains and palm trees, while maintaining the South Beach vibe so desired by all. Hard Rock Stadium is also home to events like Formula 1, Rolling Loud and Miami Dolphins Football.
